After an extensive search throughout the region, RSM US, the fifth-largest accounting firm in the world, recently joined the downtown Finance and Insurance ecosystem, which the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership notes as the top employment center in the urban core.

RSM recently opened its newest corporate office at 1001 Liberty Avenue, 8th floor, which is also the home of Federated Hermes, another of Pittsburgh’s signature financial services institutions. RSM cited the 'exciting downtown metropolitan location' to underscore the firm’s commitment to the City of Pittsburgh.

RSM boasts a strong middle-market client base, many of whom are already in the Pittsburgh region. Having a physical office downtown enables the firm to better serve its clients and provides access to top talent from the colleges and universities throughout southwestern Pennsylvania.

RSM chose Pittsburgh because of its ideal industry alignment with the firm’s client base, including advanced manufacturing, highly innovative tech, and robotics, as well as plans to invest talent and resources across three lines of business: assurance, tax, and consulting. . . .

  • Plans to expand to 200 downtown employees
  • The company’s strategic plan for Pittsburgh includes building on their current client base across all three lines of its business: audit, tax and consulting.
  • “Jane (my wife of 40 years) and I looked at many surrounding areas including the downtown area,” said Larry Keyler. “They were all wonderful options and Pittsburgh has so much to offer. We enjoy downtown dwelling and its many amenities including proximity to our new office, restaurant choices and so many other attractions such as the Pittsburgh Symphony. We are excited to continue to learn about the many attractions and venues that are located in downtown.”
  • The Keyler’s favorite things about living downtown: “We are ‘foodies’ so we love the variety of food choices!”
