In the heart of our region, a new community of health and wellness has emerged, offering a space for individuals seeking to transform their physical and mental well-being. UFC GYM, one of the fastest-growing fitness and wellness franchises globally, has set up shop, promising an all-encompassing experience under one roof, right in the heart of the Golden Triangle.
"We really saw an opportunity downtown for a UFC GYM because it's one of the highest populated business districts in the state, but we don’t have a facility that offers all of the services UFC GYM does in one spot," explained Lucas Piatt. The inception of this idea occurred during the pandemic, a time when the importance of physical and mental health came to the forefront. In the face of adversity, UFC GYM aspired to provide a sanctuary where individuals could take charge of their personal battles.
The gym not only offers state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment, but also a day spa and recovery center equipped with cutting-edge technologies like cryotherapy, normatec, hydromassage and infrared saunas. This holistic approach caters to many aspects of physical and mental well-being.
UFC GYM's has a diverse set of offerings from youth classes to mixed martial arts (MMA) training to Zumba sessions and corporate partnerships that allow employers to foster a healthier workforce.
We hope to open more UFC GYMs in the region, but we started downtown because it’s the central, accessible part of the region."

The brand's ethos of family, grit and camaraderie aligns with Pittsburgh's spirit. The staff of the gym is also largely local, and the gym has found a local ambassador in Ryan Shazier, former linebacker for the Steelers and a success story in the UFC community. As a city, Pittsburgh supported him on his journey and was inspired by his fight. That’s the kind of support Piatt says you will get at UFC GYM.
As Pittsburgh continues to evolve as a dynamic destination for living, working, and playing, UFC GYM aspires to be a cultural amenity that contributes to the energy of the urban core. In an era where companies seek holistic solutions for their employees' well-being, UFC GYM stands out as a place where the workforce can unite and be a part of a fitness and wellness community that empowers individuals.
